Retirement, for many, can be a time to relax and enjoy your family and friends, but for some, it means finding a side hustle to fill in the time. In a recent poll of retirees, the average monthly earnings from a side hustle were $379. Although almost half of the respondents said it was to supplement retirement income, the remaining respondents cited staying mentally engaged, pursuing a passion or hobby, or for socialization. “People need a purpose,” according to John Jones, an investment advisor.
